Freddy Negrete

(Designer)

Freddy Negrete is an amazing tattoo artist at Mark Mahoney's world-famous Shamrock Tattoo in West Hollywood. Considered a pioneer in the tattoo industry, Freddy, along with Charlie Cartwright, Jack Rudy, Ed Hardy, and Mark Mahoney, introduced and popularized the style of tattooing that's come to be known as black and gray realism. Over the years Freddy's art has influenced and shaped tattooing into what's considered by most to be a true art form.

Also, Freddy Negrete and makeup artist Fred Blau were the first to bring realistic looking

temporary tattoos to many big screen and television productions, including Blood in Blood Out

Blade Trilogy, and Con Air

Freddy has been featured in such documentaries as Tattoo Nation, Marked, and Prison Ink. Additionally, he made guest appearances on Ink Masters, Tattoo Rescue, and The Late Late Show

Freddy continues to create his custom tattoos at Shamrock Tattoo and looks forward to his soon to be released biography Smile Now Cry Later.
